AoC Sport Summer Conference
Every student active
As we all work to achieve the vision for every college student to be participating regularly in sport or physical activity, to support the ideas in ‘Sporting Future’ and ‘Towards an Active Nation’, it’s time to review and perhaps realign what we do. In the fast-changing landscapes of both sport and FE, we must consider how best to meet the needs of many different stakeholders whilst securing the best possible outcomes for our students. This conference is the key opportunity in the college sector to share ideas and discuss issues with peers from across the country. This year, we will have workshops on a range of current topics, including tackling inactivity, mental health, volunteering and the health and wellbeing of competitors.
Who is the conference for?
- Sports development staff in colleges and those working with colleges
- Sports coaches and administrators in colleges
- Leaders with strategic responsibility for sports programmes in colleges
- Student support and services staff
- Those with responsibility for college health and wellbeing programmes

“The AoC Sport conference is a great way to meet with like minded people and gain some insight into new ideas and strategies. I left feeling motivated to work as hard as possible over the next year to prove how imperative the work we do in colleges is and how it enriches the student experience.”

“The conference was very useful this year. It helped provide me with a focus on moving forward in the final year of delivery to achieve the best possible results.
